However, the limited occasions where we can actually use them are often hindered by the inconvenience of nail bits flying around. Clleper solves this problem by incorporating a detachable nail bits collector into its design. Every time you trim your nails, the nail bits are neatly collected, eliminating the need for cleanup.

The unique properties of Clleper make it stand out from other nail clippers on the market. Its name, a combination of "nail clipper" and "nail bits collector," perfectly captures its purpose. The clipper itself is space-saving, allowing for easy portability. The detachable collector ensures that nail bits are contained, providing a mess-free experience. Clleper's design specifications further enhance its functionality. When in use, it measures 13mm x 60mm x 45mm, offering a comfortable grip for precise trimming. When not in use, it conveniently folds into a compact size of 13mm x 73mm x 23mm, making it easy to carry in your bag or pocket.

Operating Clleper is simple and intuitive. The lever mechanism is similar to that of a traditional nail clipper, allowing for easy trimming. After cutting your nails, you can detach the collector and effortlessly dispose of the nail bits in a trash bin. The collector is designed with a magnet, ensuring that the nail bits are securely held in place during use.

Wanhang Zhao embarked on the design journey for Clleper after extensive research on the habits and challenges of nail trimming. The limited places where people typically trim their nails, such as outdoors, bathrooms, or above trash bins, inspired the need for a solution. Surprisingly, there were no existing products addressing this issue, leaving people with no choice but to tolerate the mess. Clleper aims to provide more options and convenience for nail care.

The design process for Clleper presented its own set of challenges. Integrating a collector into such a small clipper required careful consideration of space and functionality. Wanhang Zhao successfully redesigned the shape of the pin and restructured the clipper to ensure both the pin and collector were positioned optimally. The result is a seamless combination of form and function.

Clleper was developed in Lund and the project spanned from September to December 2020. Its unique design and practicality have garnered recognition, earning it the Iron A' Design Award in the Idea and Conceptual Design category in 2021. This prestigious award celebrates well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements.
